Dia de los Muertos or Day of the Dead is a holiday celebrated primarily in Mexico, but it is also celebrated throughout parts of Latin America, Europe, and the United States. The holiday is celebrated as a day to remember dearly departed loved ones. People celebrating the Day of the Dead will create alters with photos of the family, food, and drink to intice the dead to come back and listen to the prayers and comments made to them.
