Dia de los Muertos or Day of the Dead is a holiday celebrated primarily in Mexico, but it is also celebrated throughout parts of Latin America, Europe, and the United States. The holiday is celebrated as a day to remember dearly departed loved ones. People celebrating the Day of the Dead will create alters with photos of the family, food, and drink to intice the dead to come back and listen to the prayers and comments made to them. Toys are brought for dead children, and Tequila for the adults.The day of the dead is usually celebrated in two parts.
One of my favorite trends this fall has to be the metallic eye seen on the runways of Jason Wu and Gucci. It's a smokey eye with a twist. This fall is the time to bring out your darker side, atleast on your lips. Wine, mulberry, and darker berry lips were found all over the runway from Dior to Prada. Lips this season are also sticking with the matte trend, so if there's too much shine, powder your lips with a little translucent powder. Dry lips? Try using a lip balm like Eos before you start your makeup routine to give your lips a chance to soak it in before applying your lip stick.
